Using Temazepam  for Sleep

Temazepam is a part of a group of drugs named as benzodiazepans. It is mostly used on someone who is facing troubles while sleeping such as frequent awakening while sleeping or not able to maintain proper sound sleep etc. This drug relieves the brain of the chemical which is causing such type of problems. These kinds of problems which are pertinent to sleep have got another name called insomnia. So, temazepam is very useful in treating insomnia related symptoms and problems. However, it is generated as a gel filled capsule, made to be taken orally. Usually, a dose of 10mg-30mg is the right dose for patients as it may make one sense less anxiety. Also, it helps one’s muscle get relaxed and feel sleepy.

Higher doses will have reverse effects of a normal dose. The effects are actually compared to alcohol. Behavior of the victim can turn over its head. It can turn hostile or aggressive also sometimes. Else, some will be more talkative and over excited. Also, some people can get weird feelings such as they are invisible or unconquerable. Adding to the ill-effects, one can feel addicted or dependant towards temazepam if taken on a regular basis. There are many severe symptoms faced by patients if they are withdrawn from using this drug after using it for a longer time or regularly.

Some of the symptoms are wakefulness, anxiety and nervousness, panic attacks, loss of appetite, nausea, tremor, hallucination etc. These symptoms can stay for weeks after halting the drug usage. Sudden withdrawal from this drug can also pace the way for fits and convulsions. So, one should not dare to use it on a regular basis without the consultation of a good doctor. Moreover, this drug makes you very uninhibited that may ignite unwanted sexual outlook i.e. one can also be willing to have unprotected sex, thus resulting into unwanted pregnancy or some other sexually transmitted disease. You also will be unable to judge situations properly, thus resulting into an inefficient outlook towards everything. Thus, it can also give air to accidents while you are on the road. Thrombosis can also be caused by this drug which will lead to disintegrated veins.

According to the law, it is illegal to have temazepam in any form and this offence carries a maximum sentence of two years imprisonment and an unlimited fine. However, this law is yet to be updated. Also, this drug should not be prescribed by the doctor to anyone who has a history of drug abuse. Else, it can cost him a lot. Also, before consuming it, one should very openly spill out to the doctor if he has an allergy to any drugs or if he has asthma, kidney or liver disease, glaucoma, bronchitis, emphysema or any other breathing problems. Even if one gets weird thoughts such as suicidal thoughts or any other such pertinent behavior, it should be told to the doctor very frankly and openly so that the doctor may give the right proportion of the drug. Otherwise, a slight mismatch may ignite fire of great nuisance in one’s life.  Thus, one should be very alert and prudent while using temazepam.
