Tips About Fibromyalgia Social Security Disability Cases
Posted by sleepyguy in Prescription Sleep Medicine on September 17th, 2009
Fibromyalgia, a debilitating disease that causes serious pain throughout the body’s muscles, joints, tissue and tendons, as well as chronic fatigue, is a disabling disease on its own. The pain that it causes is often severe enough to significantly disrupt people’s lives. Unfortunately, those with fibromyalgia also tend to suffer from additional disorders, such as lupus, cervical and low-back degenerative disease, depression, irritable bowel syndrome or rheumatoid arthritis, among others.
The symptoms of fibromyalgia, coupled with the symptoms of another serious disease, can become absolutely debilitating. It’s not uncommon for those with both fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis, for example, to find themselves unable to live a normal life. Eventually, the pain may become so severe that they’re unable to work enough to support themselves, perform simple errands or even household chores. In situations like these, those suffering from the disease might qualify for Social Security Disability benefits.
Fibromyalgia and Social Security Disability:
SSI or SSDI benefits can provide monthly assistance so that the people facing the pain of fibromyalgia and any other disease can concentrate on treatment and pain management without attempting to work.
The first step to win fibromyalgia Social Security Disability benefits is to file an application and apply for SSI or SSDI. The application is extremely thorough and will ask for a full medical history as well as doctor’s records showing the severances of the disability. When people do suffer from both fibromyalgia and another disease, most lawyers and other experts suggest using the other disease as the primary reason for filing, since fibromyalgia is not listed by the SSA. While it’s not impossible to be awarded benefits when the primary disability is not a common SSA listing, the application might be more easily accepted with fewer questions if the applicant files for Social Security Disability under one of the more typical listings.
Consider Contacting a Social Security Disability Lawyer:
Working with a lawyer for Social Security Disability to plan out and organize an application for SSI or SSDI can be extremely beneficial. The expertise that they’ve accumulated by working on hundreds of Social Security Disability cases lets them help others avoid simple mistakes and common errors that would slow down the acceptance process.
Whether the applicant decides to file primarily under fibromyalgia or under an alternate disease like lupus of rheumatoid arthritis, listing all of the symptoms and conditions of all the diseases the applicant suffers from is crucial. The SSA will evaluate the person’s limitations as a whole, so including information about fibromyalgia, even if it wasn’t the primary disability in the application, can only help.
Other Considerations with Fibromyalgia Social Security Disability Claims:
People with fibromyalgia often have a variety of different symptoms that vary from day to day, or might even vary based on the weather or time. Symptoms might include pain throughout the entire body, and especially on tender points such as the back of the head, between shoulder blades, on the front sides of neck, in the upper chest and several others. Additionally, extreme fatigue, numbness and tingling, severe headaches and irritable bowels are also common symptoms of fibromyalgia. If the applicant suffers from any of these symptoms, they should be sure to document them with their doctor, as well as in notes or diaries of their own. The more proof the SSA can view in an application for Social Security Disability, the more likely they will be to quickly approve it.
Overnight Acne Treatments - Cure Acne Overnight With 6 Powerful Tips
Posted by sleepyguy in Prescription Sleep Medicine on September 17th, 2009
So it’s the night just before a major event in your life and what do you see on your face, a big fat, red zit calling all the attention to itself. I totally understand how you feel and at this point you really need to know how to get rid of it. Well here are 6 quick acne over night fixes that will cure your acne:-
Use Aspirin: Aspirin contains beta hydroxy acid which is a powerful defoliant. What you do is crush 1 to 2 aspirin tablets mix it with a little water and apply it on pimples for 15 minutes then wash. This will dry up the pimple and reduce any redness within hours. So why does this work, well if you took a look at most acne treatments what you will find is that the main ingredient is isopropyl alcohol and salicylic which is also the same main ingredient in aspirin.
Visine Eye Drops: This product takes the red out of your eye but it will also take the red out of your acne. Soak a Q-Tip with Visine and hold the Q-Tip on the pimple for 15 seconds. If you have more than one pimple you want to apply Visine too, use a clean Q-Tip for each pimple. The redness and size of you pimples will reduce overnight.
Colgate Toothpaste: This may burn a little but the zit will dry up in less than 24 hours! I do this all the time. Put it on before you go to sleep and apply it where you have the zits. This will cure acne overnight.
A Dab of Retinol: A tiny dab of retinol or a product with retinol in it will dry up your acne overnight, and it will make the zit will fall off in 24 hrs. I use old vichy eye cream with retinol that I have laying around the house.
Lavender Oil: Put a small undiluted drop onto a cotton swab and then the zit. The lavender will reduce the redness since it is an antibacterial substance.
My Personal Face Mask: Get a bowl and put in 1 tbsp plain organic yogurt (lactic acid) and 8-10 uncoated plain aspirin (salicylic acid). Stir it up and let it sit for a minute; the aspirin will dissolve. Add a tbsp of honey (antimicrobial, antifungal, & moisturizing) and stir the mixture up. I use it in the shower. I put the mask on my face and neck and let it work while I exfoliate my body with a scrubby. Then rinse and go, this stuff is amazing, completely healthy, and dirt cheap.
Now after all is said and done the acne is gone and you have had your special day you do need to realize you need a long term solution to your problem. The quick fixes are just what they are quick fixes, they will not make you acne go away forever. What you need is a long term solution to your problem. Different Stages of Kidney Infections
Posted by sleepyguy in Prescription Sleep Medicine on September 17th, 2009
Kidney infection is a bacterial disease which is caused due to e-coli bacterium. The bacterium enters inside the urinary tract from the urethra or through blood streams. The condition is accompanied by high fever, back pain as well as symptoms of bladder infections. It occurs when you reject the symptoms of bladder infections as minor ailments.
The infection leads to inflammation of kidneys, which is accompanied by kidney scarring and tissue damage. The condition can be overcome by antibiotic treatment. However, it can lead to kidney damage under some circumstances. Sometimes, the kidneys stop completely and this condition is termed as renal failure. Hence, the patient needs to undergo a dialysis or kidney transplant.
There are different stages of kidney infections like:
1. Acute Pyelonephritis: This is the initial stage of infection that can be treated with help of antibiotic or herbal medicines.
2. Chronic Pyelonephritis: This active kidney infection has severe symptoms that aggravates to uncontrollable levels and damage the urinary parts.
3. Emphysematous Pyelonephritis: This condition occurs among people with diabetic infections. This acute infection is characterized by presence of gas molecules near the kidneys and surrounding area.
4. Pyonephrosis: This urinary tract condition leads to blockage of ureters. Hence, it is unable to transfer the urine from the kidney to urinary bladder. Thus, it interrupts the functioning of urinary system and leads to severe health hazards.
5. Renal abscesses: During this stage of kidney infection, you can notice chunks of pus near the kidney area. Sometimes, the kidney shutdowns completely leading to renal failure.
Hence, a patient suffering from the upper urinary tract infection can face the above consequences. The condition is highly prevalent among women due to shorter urethra. Some men get inflicted with the disease during old age due to use of bladder catheter and urinary abnormalities.
So, undergo proper treatment so that the infection does not build up to uncontrollable levels.
