What is the purpose of IDPN?

Are there any effects on glucose levels of IDPN?
There are chances of high blood sugar in non-diabetics due to the amount of sugar within the IDPN solution. This is why the blood sugars are checked before, during and after each treatment. Regular insulin may be given during IDPN therapy for those who may experience high blood glucose due to IDPN. Some people may even experience low blood sugar after the treatment.
