Heart disease is the leading cause of death in both men and women. While some people are predisposed to heart disease due to genetic factors, others acquire heart disease through poor lifestyle choices. In fact, many of the contributing factors to heart disease, such as high cholesterol, are highly preventable. A widely used blended enzyme called Neprinol has found fantastic results in treating and reducing high cholesterol.

Naturally produced in the liver, cholesterol is a waxy type of substance that our bodies need to produce key hormones, transport fat throughout the body, and create cell membranes and Vitamin D. However, when too much cholesterol is present in the body, much of it is unused and presents a serious danger. Unused cholesterol clogs arteries and forms plaque, which restricts proper blood circulation and greatly increases the risk of heart disease. This additional, but unnecessary, cholesterol enters the body via the foods that we eat such as animal fats, shellfish, and dairy products. Unfortunately, there aren’t many noticeable physical symptoms for high cholesterol and most people are unaware of dangerously high levels without undergoing cholesterol screenings during a visit to the doctor.

A recent case study show a 44-year-old male company executive, how was just diagnosed with hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol), and does not want to take cholesterol-lowering drugs. What did he do different learn about this case study by visisting Neprinol Case Study #3 Hyperlipidemia, link at the bottom.

Once high cholesterol is detected, it is reversible through weight loss, diet, and exercise. Making lifestyle adjustments and eliminating cholesterol-rich foods from the diet can greatly lower cholesterol levels as can increasing the intake of foods high in antioxidants, which help to cleanse the blood. Regular exercise is also important to keep blood circulating and in an attempt to clear the arteries of high cholesterol deposits that have already begun to form. In adjusting one’s diet and engaging in daily physical activity, weight loss begins to naturally occur, thus further decreasing high cholesterol levels, decreasing heart exertion and decreasing the chances of heart disease. In the event that proper lifestyle adjustments are not made in time, doctors often prescribe medications known as statins, which can also carry severe side effects. Such as adnormal blood pressure which can be defined by a range of values. High blood pressure lower than 140/90 mm Hg is considered normal. A blood pressure around 120/80 mm Hg is considered the best level to avoid heart disease. A number of factors such as pain, stress or anxiety can cause a temporary increase in blood pressure.

However, new studies show that success in treating high cholesterol levels has also been noted through the use of an enzyme blend known as Neprinol. Neprinol is specially formulated to replace some of the enzymes that the body naturally loses as the result of aging. It is an anti-oxidant rich enzyme that digests proteins and, therefore, greatly assists in the digestions of fats, carbohydrates, sugars, and unused proteins. These very critical digestive enzymes are also instrumental in removing waste material from the blood and converting food particles that are undigested into energy that is useful to the body.

Physical pain is a sensory that you experience and it is an unpleasant feeling caused by bodily harm. Pain is your body’s defense that gives a reaction and painful stimulus. Natural behavior stops you from doing the same painful thing again in a harmful situation. Pain in only based on the person experiencing it. There is different toleration of pain for every person. What one person thinks is the worst pain can be a mere bother to another.

There are two levels of pain, acute pain, which doesn’t require medical treatment. This type of pain only requires rest or over the counter medication to relieve aches and tension. Then there is chronic pain, which does not go away and requires medication and medical attention. This is no longer a symptom, when it becomes ongoing it becomes an illness.

Two specific types of pain are joint pain, and muscle pain, these are very common.

Injury affecting any of the ligaments and tendons surrounding the joint is joint pain. This can also harm your cartilage and bones. Pain is a feature of joint inflammation also known as arthritis.

Joint pain is a serious issue. It makes everyday tasks unmanageable. It almost feels like an endless struggle. There are so many important joints that we take for granite. Hip pain, knee pain, even elbow pain may effect the stiffness and swelling. Just walking, climbing the stairs, bending down or even stand for a long period of time becomes stressful and painful. Millions on people deal with this type of pain everyday. A study shows that about 60 million people suffer from joint paint daily, no matter what field of work. It ranges from body builders all the way to school teachers!

Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease; it’s type arthritis specifically on the joint. This is when spurs form onto the joint causing major pain. There is a decrease in lubricant between the cartilages and bones. It is excruciating pain when bone on bone rubs, or bone on cartilage. When there is less protection it demotes your flexibility and movement.

Exercising regularly will help restore muscle tone. You can try walking, riding your bike, or swimming. These are good aerobic activities that will help the aches in time. Also a good idea is a physical therapist. They can teach you how to stretch, tone, and do different aerobic exercises that will make you feel better and be pain-free. Studies show that exercise reduces muscle pain by 25%. Starting slowly is the key and gradually work your way up to your goal, don’t try any heavy aerobic activities or lifting of weights if injured or while in pain.

Make sure to try to get the right amount of sleep and rest, and try to reduce your stress levels. Yoga, light exercise, meditation, and keeping a healthy body are excellent ways to help relive everyday tensions. You can also get temporary relief from pain with Pepper Cream by bell. It relives pain immediately or within minutes. It works by preventing nerves from transmitting pain messages to the brain.

What is a cortisone shot?

A cortisone shot or a cortisone injection is given to patients to relieve pain mainly caused by joint inflammation. The ankle, hip, shoulder, elbow, knee, wrist and spine joints are the most common areas in the body where patients receive cortisone injections. Outside of the common joints, cortisone shots may rarely be given to the smaller joints in your feet and hands.

An injection of anti-inflammatory medicine into the joint is commonly referred to as a cortisone shot, usually consisting of a mixture of corticosteroid and a local anesthetic. In some more rare circumstances different types of medications may be added to the mixture. The local anesthetic works to relieve pain in the short term, while the corticosteroid reduces the inflammation providing the longer term pain relief. Frequently it is your doctor who will give you the cortisone shot in his office.

Listed below are some side effects and rare complications that may arise from cortisone shots:

-Osteonecrosis ?- occurs when a bone dies near the cortisone injection point
-Joint infection
-Damage to nerves around the injection site
-Skin may thin near the injection site
-Pain may become worse due to a temporary inflammation which could last for as long as 48 hours
-May affect tendons near the injection site by weakening or even rupturing them
-May lead to osteoporosis in bones near the injection site
-Skin pigmentation may become lighter close to the point of injection

One of the more frequently asked questions are how often can you receive a cortisone injection? One of the biggest questions debated is what limitations should be placed on cortisone injections. The concerns are raised from repeated cortisone injection exposure that is suspected to further damage and deteriorate joint cartilage. This is the main concern of many doctors and for this reason cortisone injections are usually only given to a patient once every three months per joint. In rare situations more severe forms of arthritis may bend this general rule and these patients receive a cortisone shot once a month.

Another common question often asked is, how painful are cortisone injections? The pain associated with a cortisone injection is dependent on what the mixture of medicinal ingredients is. If you are having the more rare injections to the small joints in your hands or feet, then you are likely going to feel considerably more pain. Larger joints in your body such as the knee or shoulder will only trigger mild amounts of pain, while injections in other joints through your body will cause moderate amounts of pain.

How to Recover From a Cortisone Injection

It is common to feel a little pain and stiffness around the injection site after a cortisone shot. It is best that you continue with your daily routine as this is normal and it will just take a little time for you to start feeling better.

Here are a few activities your doctor may ask you to do in the first few days following your cortisone injection:

-Apply ice packs to the injection site as required to reduce the amount of superficial pain you are feeling
-Monitor the injection site for signs of infection. Symptoms of infection may include an increase in your pain level and redness or swelling lasting longer then forty eight hours.
-Be mindful not to over exert the joint that was given the injection. Examples being, if you had a cortisone injection in your shoulder, then you should avoid any heavy lifting. If you had the injection in your knee you should do you best to stay off of your feet for the first couple of days. You can still use these joints, just be mindful not to strain them with too much activity.

Earlier we touched on possibilities of an increase in pain and inflammation. This is commonly referred to cortisone shot flare. The flare in pain will usually lasts for up to forty eight hours, but when it subsides you should start to feel relief from your pain. As in all health concerns, if you have any questions do not hesitate to contact your doctor. Even if there is nothing wrong, confirmation from a professional often puts the mind at ease.

MY SITUATION: MY SEIZURE DISORDER

I have a seizure disorder which came on about five years ago. I had a funny feeling one day at work. I was walking at the time, blacked out and, fell. I hit my face on the floor which caused some abrasions but no serious injury. I had a full work up and it was discovered I had a seizure disorder. I was prescribed Lamictal. I?’vehad three other seizures since then but all were because I forgot to take my medication as prescribed.

WHY YOU SHOULD OBTAIN YOUR PRESCRIPTION DRUGS FROM CANADA

Lamictal was effective in controlling my seizures but was criminally expensive. When I had health insurance, I didn?’t think much about it. However, I became unemployed and then had to pay for it myself. This was very painful for me economically. Furthermore, I am married with two little children.

The situation frustrated me so I went on a time consuming quest to find a better deal. After a great deal of searching, I discovered that Lamictal was dramatically cheaper in Canada. I found an impressive, on-line, Canadian pharmacy and started purchasing Lamictal from them. I had never ordered on-line before so was a bit apprehensive. To my delight, I had no problems; the customer service and quality was excellent. My medication came conveniently to me in the mail. The savings were dramatic!

From all countries available as an option, I chose to buy from Canada. Canada is a very good neighbor, is a nice, First World country and, the people are great. Their cities are just as nice as ours here in the USA. Here on the West Coast, I?’ve been to bothVancouver B.C. (British Columbia) and Victoria B.C.; both places are fabulous. I have no doubt that medications directly from Canada are every bit as good as those here in the USA.

OBTAINING PRESCRIPTION DRUGS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES

These same Canadian pharmacies can also facilitate your acquisition of prescription drugs from other countries. Sometimes you can get a prescription medication even cheaper from a third country. My advice and opinion however is to always make the transaction through the Canadian facility. You can then chose to have the medication come directly from Canada or can coordinate with the Canadian pharmacy to have your medicine shipped from the third country.

This may sound complicated but it is not. In fact, it is very easy. You just input what medication you want and options, for example, may come up for Canada, India and New Zealand. You then just choose what you want to do based on price, location, dosage, etc. My medication came from an Indian Pharmacy but the purchase was coordinated through a Canadian facility. The Canadian pharmacies do their utmost to make absolutely certain the overseas pharmacies they deal with are first rate.

BRAND NAME VS. GENERIC

The generic version of Lamictal has finally come out and is now much less expensive. So, I no longer have to buy it from Canada. Once a generic is released it does tend to become less expensive in the USA. Prior to a generic being released, the cost of many medications in America can be criminally high. Some medications are very expensive even when the generic does become available. At any rate, there are a number of scenarios where an on-line, Canadian pharmacy can save you thousands of dollars.

BEST WISHES

I hope the information in this article helps someone out there who perhaps is in the same situation that I was in. Thank you very much!

Sincerely,

Robert Link

Toe nail fungal infections are unsightly, embarrassing and painful. People resort to different kinds of toenail fungus remedies, using ingredients that do not have antifungal effects. Others just cover their toe nails with polish or artificial nails to prevent embarrassment and self consciousness. There are different treatments from oral medications to topical toe nail fungus remedies. Oral medications are expensive in two ways, the medication or pills are costly and regular laboratory tests are required to ensure no internal organ is damaged by the toxicity of the drugs. It is important to note that oral toenail fungus remedies are synthetic drugs that cause side effects that are more dangerous than the toe nail fungus infection.

To treat toe nail fungus, look for natural ingredients that are recognized for antifungal as well as antibacterial properties. Deformity, ingrown and nail debris may cause bacterial infection, so a topical toe nail fungus remedy with both antimicrobial qualities is fundamental. As nail debris form at the surrounding skin, this cause soreness and dryness, natural oils such as lavender and jojoba oil prevent dryness and relieves soreness. Preserving the healthy part of the toe nail and prevention of further infection is also important. Lemongrass oil preserves the health of nail and natural fungicide in jojoba oil kills the spores that prevent the infection from spreading. Natural oils are clinically tested to provide antifungal and other properties that is needed to fight toe nail fungus, these ingredients are available in the better toenail fungus remedies. It is not enough to kill the fungus but also restore the nail to health and natural luster.

Accurate Acetaminophen Dosage

Posted by sleepyguy in Prescription Sleep Medicine, Sleep Disorder on April 30th, 2009

Acetaminophen is one of the most common drugs administered to children. The drug is commonly given as a cure for fever and pain. Yet, for dads, it can be one of the most challenging drugs to give a dosage correctly. This is because Acetaminophen is easily available in many forms. It has become a staple resident of home medicine cabinets in one form or the other since the 1970’s. Due to its easy availability, Acetaminophen is considered to be the drug that causes most deaths by overdose. Overdoses occur because parents are unaware of Acetaminophen’s toxicity. Symptoms of acetaminophen intoxication include nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, and liver failure.

There are few things that every dad should remember before administering Acetaminophen to their children.

  • Never give Acetaminophen to a baby under the age of 3 months without consulting with your doctor first.
  • The amount of Acetaminophen given to a baby depends on his weight and not on his age.
  • Read the medications label carefully as it is easy to be confused by the different forms and concentration of acetaminophen that is available at the medical store
  • Remember to use the measuring device that came with the medication to ensure correct amount of dosage.
  • Check whether you are giving an adult dosage or a child’s dosage before administering the drug. Even within the children’s version there are many variations depending on age group. For example, an infant drop formulation is three times as concentrated as the syrup given to toddlers.
  • Overdose of acetaminophen can cause liver damage.
